What if my puppy is already 6 months old or is turning this age soon?
You can sign up for Perfect Pups Academy if your puppy is under 6 months of age at time of sign up! For slightly older pups, have a look at my corresponding basics course aimed at adolescent and adult dogs, Dream Dogs Academy. If you're not sure, book in your free call to chat with me directly!
Is there a minimum age requirement?
Your puppy must have completed their full set of vaccinations as directed by your vet - there are lots of different options for vaccination schedules, which means that there's no set age at which every puppy will be ready to join in with classes. If you're not sure about when your puppy will be able to join in with classes in a group setting, please speak with your vet. Once your puppy has had all their jabs, they can join in the fun!
What equipment do I need?
Just the basics: a well-fitting flat collar or harness, a fixed-length lead, and plenty of your puppy's favourite treats or kibble. We focus on real-world, fun and force-free skills, so no complicated gadgets or special tools are required.
Do we practice in real-world scenarios?
Absolutely. There's no real sense in just checking off listed behaviours in a highly controlled space. I'll guide you through practical exercises that you'll use in parks, cafes, and living rooms so your puppy learns how to behave where it actually matters, and we'll complete 'Real Life Challenges' each week in a setup that simulates these environments so that you can get started right away!
What happens after the 6 weeks?
Graduates unlock access to my specialised short courses (subject to availability), which allow you to really focus in on popular skills like loose-lead walking and recall, plus you'll get exclusive access to my brand new Field Trip Club where we practice skills out in the wild with other friendly dogs and like-minded owners!
